How to Calculate the Wasted Air Compressed Air leaking in your plant

Every day thousands of dollars are wasted in electricity from compressed air leaks in factories all around the world and also here is Australia.

The Enerquip web site has a simple calculator to assist you calculate wasted air in your factory.

Go to http://www.enerquip.com.au/tools_calculator_leakage.html

Enter the following information

Wasted Air Calculation
Volume of Receiver:
VT (l)
Starting Receiver Pressure :
pS (bar)
Ending Receiver Pressure :
pF (bar)
Time Measured :
t(min)
Volume of Leakage :
l/min

After entering this information the volume of leakage per min will appear in the volume of leakage field

Remember to consider the size of airlines and length of air lines for the pressure vessel volume...

The larger the vessel (stored air system) the larger the leak rate that will be calculated.
